AI prompts for business owners in Jordan: a 5-part formula and 3 before-and-after fixes

AI prompts for business owners in Jordan succeed or fail on one thing: context. A one-line request gets a generic answer; a prompt that sets the role, context, task, format and tone gets a draft you can almost send. The formula works the same way in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Microsoft Copilot, so every prompt in this guide can be pasted into any of them.

  • Role: who should the tool be? For example: you are an accountant at a mid-sized Jordanian company.
  • Context: what do you know that it doesn't? Your sector, the customer, the currency (dinars) and any limits.
  • Task: one clear verb: write, review, summarise or classify.
  • Format: a table, five bullet points, or an 80-word message.
  • Tone: formal or friendly, in Modern Standard Arabic or Jordanian dialect.

Here is the difference in three common cases:

  • Instead of “Write an ad for our shop”, write: You are a Jordanian copywriter. Write 3 posts for a sweets shop in Irbid for «occasion», each under 40 words, in Jordanian dialect, ending with an invitation to order on WhatsApp.
  • Instead of “Summarise the report”, write: Summarise the sales report below for a busy general manager in 5 bullet points, keep every figure in dinars exactly as given, and end with one practical next step.
  • Instead of pasting a full invoice with the customer's name and national number and asking “What's wrong?”, write: Review the lines below, where I have replaced the customer's name with a code (Customer A), flag any total that doesn't equal quantity × price, and show the result as a table.

The third fix also protects your customer's data; more on that in the last section. These tools' plans, prices, availability and data settings change often, and this guide reflects October 2026, so check each tool's own site before you subscribe. In every prompt below, replace the text in «…» with your details, and read the output before it reaches a customer or a government portal.

AI prompts for accountants: JoFotara checks, 16% sales tax and JOD collections

AI prompts for accountants don't replace your accounting system or JoFotara, the national e-invoicing system run by the Income and Sales Tax Department; they save review and writing time. Your software applies the general sales tax at its standard 16% rate (some goods carry other rates or exemptions); the AI tool reviews, explains and drafts. Ten prompts to use before you close the 2026 books:

  • Invoice review: You are an invoice auditor in Jordan. Before I submit to JoFotara, check these lines «lines without individuals' names» and flag in a table any missing field, inconsistent tax rate or wrong total.
  • Checklist: Write a 10-point pre-submission JoFotara checklist for an accountant at a «sector» company, covering discounts, credit notes and returns.
  • Totals check: For each line, calculate quantity × unit price in dinars, then the subtotal, «rate»% tax and the total rounded to 3 decimals (fils); compare it with «invoice total» and show your working.
  • Tax explainer: In 100 simple words, tell a customer politely why their «service» invoice shows 16% sales tax, giving no tax advice and noting we collect it for the Income and Sales Tax Department.
  • Inclusive or exclusive: In a short, friendly WhatsApp message, show a customer the difference between «amount» dinars including and excluding «rate»% sales tax, with one worked example.
  • Data request: Email our business customers asking for their tax number, legal name and address before «date» so we can e-invoice them, with a short reason and a fill-in reply.
  • Reminder ladder: Write 3 reminders for invoice «number», «amount» dinars, «days» days overdue: friendly, firm, then final before we stop credit sales, in a respectful Jordanian tone.
  • Collection plan: Turn this aged receivables list «table with customer codes, not names» into a weekly plan until 31 December 2026: who first and why, with a dinar target per week.
  • Collection call: Write a short call script asking for a part payment of «amount» dinars and offering to split the rest over «number» months, with calm answers to 3 common excuses.
  • Payment message: Write a short WhatsApp reminder for invoice «number» («amount» dinars) offering bank transfer to our IBAN or CliQ to our alias, and asking for a receipt photo. Leave the IBAN and alias as «…» for me to fill in.

AI can miscalculate; your system's figure is the reference. See the 16% sales tax in Odoo and CliQ for businesses.

Marketing in Jordanian dialect and customer service: 10 prompts for small businesses

For small businesses in Jordan, AI pays off fastest in everyday text: a post, a reply to a complaint, a WhatsApp answer. Name the dialect, the city and the audience, and rule out exaggeration. Then read the dialect aloud; if it doesn't sound like your customers, ask the tool to make it less formal and closer to how people talk in Amman.

  • Posts: You are a Jordanian copywriter. Write 5 Instagram posts about «product» in light Ammani dialect, under 40 words each, with a call to order via «channel» and no exaggeration.
  • Short video: Write a 30-second Reels script in Jordanian dialect showing the problem «problem» and how «product» solves it, split into scene, spoken line and on-screen text.
  • Headlines: Give me 10 headlines for «offer» in «city», half in Modern Standard Arabic and half in Jordanian dialect, ranked strongest first, with a one-line reason for each.
  • Two versions: Rewrite this product description «description» twice, in Modern Standard Arabic for our website and in Jordanian dialect for Facebook. Keep dinar prices and specifications exactly as written.
  • Seasonal campaign: Plan a «occasion» campaign for a «sector» shop in Jordan: one key message, 3 posts and an email to past customers, warm in tone and not pushy.
  • Complaint reply: You run customer service at «company». Answer this complaint «text without name or phone» with a sincere apology, one clear fix and a follow-up date, in polite Jordanian dialect.
  • Saved replies: Write 8 WhatsApp replies to frequent questions: prices, delivery inside and outside Amman, payment methods, returns and opening hours. Leave every number or price as «…» for me to fill.
  • Bad review: Write a public reply to this Google review «review text without the reviewer's name» in 60 words or fewer that thanks the customer, acknowledges the problem and invites them to call us on «…», without arguing.
  • Sorting: Sort these messages «messages without names or numbers» into a table as price question, complaint, return request or other, then name the 3 questions most worth a saved reply.
  • Returns policy: Draft a short, plain-language returns and exchange policy for a «sector» shop, plus a 3-line version to print on receipts. I will review it with a legal adviser before publishing.

Moving these replies onto your own website or online store? Keep a person reviewing everything that goes public.

HR, export and donor reports: 10 prompts for specialist teams

Three jobs eat hours in many Jordanian organisations: hiring paperwork, English correspondence with foreign buyers and suppliers, including for factories in the Qualifying Industrial Zones (QIZ), and donor reports. AI drafts all three well if you supply the facts and forbid it from inventing numbers.

  • Job ad: Write a job ad in Arabic and English for «title» in «city»: duties, qualifications, working hours and salary «range in dinars», with no discriminatory condition based on age, gender or marital status.
  • Interview: Prepare 10 interview questions for «title», 4 of them behavioural questions on «skill», each with a 1-to-5 scoring guide and a note on what a strong answer looks like.
  • Social security: Explain simply to a new employee how social security is deducted from gross salary at «employee rate»% and what the company pays for them at «employer rate»%, with one worked example on a sample salary of «example amount» dinars, not their real pay. Add no figures of your own.
  • Staff notice: Write a 120-word notice to staff about «topic: salary payment date or leave policy», clear and respectful, ending with who to ask for details.
  • Order confirmation: Write a professional English email to «buyer» confirming purchase order «number»: ship date «date», Incoterm «term», packing details, and a request to approve the sample before «date».
  • Request for quotation: Write an English RFQ to a «material» supplier for «quantity», asking for price, lead time to «port or warehouse», payment terms and the shipping documents they will send.
  • Shipment delay: Write an English message telling the buyer the shipment is «days» days late because of «reason», with a new date and a clear backup plan, responsible in tone without over-apologising.
  • Narrative report: Turn these field notes «notes without beneficiary names» into an English activities-implemented section in «donor»'s template, linking each activity to indicator «number» and adding no figures.
  • Budget variance: In two English paragraphs, explain the variance on budget line «line»: planned «amount» dinars against actual «amount» dinars, the reason «reason» and the corrective action, in donor-report language.
  • Impact story: Write a 150-word English impact story about a beneficiary with a pseudonym from project «project», using only these facts «facts without name, address or health details» and no detail that reveals identity or health condition.

Current contribution rates are in our social security and payroll guide; see also Odoo for manufacturers and exporters and donor reporting in Odoo.

Before you paste: Jordan's data protection law and 5 AI tasks inside Odoo 20

The first rule is simple: never paste personal data into a public AI tool; anonymise it first. Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 has been in force since 17 March 2024, and its one-year transition period ended on 16 March 2025. It generally requires explicit prior consent documented in writing or electronically, and treats data on a person's financial position or health as sensitive, which can cover salaries and individual customers' debts. It also bars transfers to anyone outside Jordan whose protection falls below the law's, except in listed cases, and the four tools above are run by companies based outside Jordan. Article 22 sets fines of 1,000 to 10,000 dinars, doubled for repeat offences.

  • Replace names with codes such as (Customer A) and (Employee 3).
  • Delete national numbers, phone numbers, IBANs and addresses.
  • Use ranges or totals instead of individual salaries and balances.
  • Ask the tool for a method or template, then apply it to your data inside your own system.

If you want AI next to your data, the Odoo 20 documentation describes Odoo Enterprise features that work inside the system itself:

  • Writing and improving text in description and notes fields, email composers and Knowledge articles, with Rewrite selected to tidy up highlighted text or change its tone.
  • Email templates with an embedded prompt that runs on each record when sent, so every customer gets a different message, even in bulk.
  • AI fields that generate a value from the record, such as a summary of a long note; a scheduled action fills empty text and property AI fields once a day.
  • Voice transcription that turns a recorded meeting into a transcript and a summary of decisions and action items, then discards the audio.
  • Document sort in the Documents app: moving uploads to the right folder, tagging them, and even creating vendor bills when Accounting is installed.

AI usage consumes IAP credits, and the docs warn that installing the AI app on the Standard plan automatically triggers an upsell to the Custom plan; our Odoo 20 AI guide for Jordan covers agents and credits. Frequently asked questions

How do I write a good AI prompt in Arabic?

Use five parts: role, context, task, format and tone. Tell the tool who it is, give it the facts it cannot know, ask for one clear action, set the shape of the answer and name the register, Modern Standard Arabic or Jordanian dialect. Keep dinar amounts exactly as you typed them, ask it to list its assumptions, and if the first answer is weak, reply with one specific correction rather than starting again.

Can I paste customer or employee data into ChatGPT in Jordan?

Anonymise it first. Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023, in force since 17 March 2024, generally requires explicit, documented prior consent, treats financial and health data as sensitive and restricts transfers outside Jordan to recipients with weaker protection. It protects natural persons, so a company's name is usually not personal data, but a contact person's name, phone, national number or salary is. Article 22 sets fines of 1,000 to 10,000 dinars, so ask a lawyer about any specific case.

Can AI submit my invoices to JoFotara or calculate the sales tax for me?

No, keep both in your invoicing system. A public AI tool can review a draft, write a checklist or explain the 16% general sales tax to a customer, but invoices are issued through the national e-invoicing system itself or software linked to it, and that is where the tax is calculated. AI tools can make arithmetic mistakes, so treat any figure they produce as a second check and keep your accountant's sign-off.

Does Odoo 20 include AI, and what does it cost?

Odoo 20 Enterprise has built-in AI features, which are not in the free Community edition, and using them is paid. The Odoo 20 documentation says AI requests run through Odoo's In-App Purchase (IAP) service and consume credits, and that installing the AI app on the Standard plan automatically triggers an upsell to the Custom plan. Some features also need other apps: document sort needs Documents, and creating vendor bills needs Accounting. Check credit and plan prices on Odoo's site before setting a dinar budget, as they may change after October 2026.
