How Much Does Odoo Cost in Jordan? Reading a 2026 Quote in Dinars
JoFotara onboarding, Light Users for workers on payroll and three separate bills: the real Odoo cost in Jordan for 2026, and how to read a partner's quote in dinars line by line.

How much does Odoo cost in Jordan? Three bills, not one price
Your total Odoo cost in Jordan is really three separate bills. Odoo's price list sets the first, and the second too if you host on Odoo.sh; the third depends on who implements the project:
- The Odoo subscription: a fee per user per month that covers every app on the Standard and Custom plans. Odoo's price list can differ by country, so check the current figure on Odoo's official pricing page while browsing from Jordan. If it is shown in US dollars, multiply by about 0.709, the dinar's peg.
- Hosting: included on Odoo Online, billed on top on Odoo.sh, and the cost of your own servers and technical team if you host on-premise.
- Implementation: setup, data migration, JoFotara onboarding, training and support, priced by your partner (or by Odoo itself through a Success Pack) from the scope you agree.
Three decisions move the total more than anything else: how many people need a login, whether you need the Custom plan (Studio, a second company, or an outside system calling Odoo's API), and whether anything has to be custom-coded. In Jordan a fourth question can outweigh them all: whether payroll for a large workforce runs inside Odoo.
Odoo is not always the right answer. A three-person shop that only issues invoices may need no more than the One App Free plan with Invoicing; start there before paying anyone for more. And a company that wants Odoo rebuilt around every old way of working will pay for that code every year.
Bill 1: Odoo subscription price, plans and who counts as a paying user
Odoo's current plans include every app, so the bill depends on plan, billing cycle and paying users, not on how many apps you switch on.
- Standard: all apps, on Odoo Online only.
- Custom: adds Studio, multi-company, the External API and agentic AI, on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise. Studio or a second company moves a paid database to Custom automatically, an outside system calling Odoo's API needs it too, and the Custom rate then covers every user.
- Yearly billing is cheaper per month; monthly billing exists only for cloud hosting.
- The first-year discount lasts 12 months and covers only the users in the first order. Budget year two at list; users added mid-term pay list, and Odoo's agreement lets renewal prices below list rise up to 7% a year.
A paying user is anyone with a backend login; portal customers and suppliers are free. Odoo's subscription agreement counts every active employee record with no linked user as a Light User, quoted by an Odoo Advisor.
In Jordan, a QIZ garment factory running payroll in Odoo for hundreds of workers creates hundreds of Light Users. Cashiers who switch in at the till with a PIN or badge (Point of Sale settings, Log in with Employees) are employee records too; the register itself runs under one paying user's login. Light Users can also log their own time off, expenses and attendance, or scan as Barcode operators. Get the Light User quote in writing before you decide where payroll runs, and archive leavers' records.
Bill 2: Odoo hosting costs, and why custom code costs you every year
Our Odoo Online vs Odoo.sh guide for Jordan compares hosting in full. For the budget:
- Odoo Online: hosting included; runs standard Odoo and Studio, but no custom Python modules and only data-only Apps Store modules.
- Odoo.sh: Odoo's cloud for custom modules (on-premise is the other route). It needs the Custom plan, and hosting is billed on top for workers, staging and storage. We have not confirmed its rates for Jordan; check its pricing page and convert dollars at 0.709.
- On-premise: Custom plan, yearly billing, plus servers, backups and patching by your team. An NGO whose donor agreements restrict where data is kept may prefer it, since Odoo Online replicates backups to Europe and Canada.
The developer's view: a Studio field for the truck plate of each Aqaba shipment keeps you on Odoo Online, on Custom. A Python module for a tiered rebate scheme that pricelists and promotions cannot express moves you to Odoo.sh or your own servers, and costs you every year: hosting, porting at each major version, maintenance. Paid Apps Store modules are sold per Odoo version, so budget to buy them again at each major upgrade.
One risk is Jordan-only: custom code touching invoices or taxes can break JoFotara submission. As Odoo has no JoFotara test server, test each upgrade on a staging copy in Demo Mode, then check the first live invoices individually.
Before approving a custom line, ask whether a standard setting, an automation rule with built-in actions or a Studio field can do the job, and which quote lines touch l10n_jo_edi.
Bill 3: Odoo implementation cost in Jordan, and what quotes leave out
Partner fees follow scope, so compare quotes line by line; our guide to choosing an Odoo partner in Jordan lists what each quote should show. The Jordan-specific lines:
- JoFotara onboarding. The l10n_jo_edi module is free and installs with the Jordanian localization, but someone must generate the Activity Number, Client ID and Secret Key in JoFotara, enter them in Odoo, match the company name to the ISTD registration, set the taxpayer type and clean customer tax IDs. JoFotara rejects negative lines, so global or fixed-amount discounts become a percentage per line.
- Migration: opening balances in dinars to three decimals, open invoices, customer tax IDs, products and stock.
- Payroll: the Jordan payroll localization (Enterprise) covers income tax brackets, social security contributions and end of service. Test each salary structure against your last manual payroll, and have your tax adviser confirm the exemption values under Payroll > Configuration > Rule Parameters.
- Integrations: connectors Odoo starts itself, such as bank sync and payment providers, stay on Standard; an outside system calling Odoo's API needs Custom.
- Arabic training and support: Odoo's included support runs on tickets in English, French, Spanish or Dutch, not Arabic.
Often forgotten:
- Your accountant's review of the 16% general sales tax setup, including on Odoo's fees
- POS hardware: Epson printers with ePOS over Wi-Fi or Ethernet (such as the TM-m30 series) and iMin devices work without IoT. USB printers, other network (ESC/POS) printers and the Epson TM-T20 and TM-T88 families need an IoT system with its own subscription. Bluetooth printers are not supported.
Worked example: reading an Odoo quote for a QIZ garment factory
Take a garment exporter in a Qualified Industrial Zone near Irbid. Twelve office staff need logins across accounting, HR, purchasing, planning, the warehouse and management; about 400 production workers appear on payroll only. One legal entity, no Studio and no outside system calling the API, so Standard on Odoo Online fits. Read its quote line by line:
- Subscription, 12 users at the Standard rate: recurring, paid to Odoo. Multiply dollars by 0.709 for dinars, and price year two at list.
- Light Users for 400 worker records if payroll runs in Odoo: recurring, quoted in writing by an Odoo Advisor.
- Hosting: no line on Odoo Online.
- JoFotara onboarding and Arabic training: once-off.
- Opening balances in JOD to three decimals, open invoices and customer tax IDs: once-off.
- Payroll setup with social security and end of service, tested against a manual run: once-off.
- Support plan and in-app credits: recurring.
- 16% general sales tax: not included in Odoo's fees; ask your accountant.
The real decision is payroll. Inside Odoo, 400 worker records become 400 Light Users. Outside Odoo, that line disappears, but payroll still runs somewhere and must be posted to accounting every month. Compare both in dinars before you sign.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Odoo cost per month in Jordan?
Odoo charges a fee per user per month, with all apps included on the Standard and Custom plans. Its price list can differ by country, so we do not print a single figure here: check Odoo's official pricing page from Jordan, or ask us for the current rate. Yearly billing is cheaper per month than monthly billing, the first-year discount covers 12 months for the initial users only, and hosting on Odoo Online is included. Implementation is a separate bill.
Can I run JoFotara on free Odoo Community?
Yes. The Jordan e-invoicing module, l10n_jo_edi, is LGPL-3 open source and part of Odoo Community, so the connector itself costs nothing. But full Accounting, the accounting reports, Studio and the Jordan payroll localization are Enterprise-only, and a Community system still needs hosting, setup, upgrades and someone to maintain it. If you only need invoicing, compare it with the One App Free plan on Odoo Online, where hosting and upgrades are included.
Does the JoFotara e-invoicing integration cost extra in Odoo?
Not as a licence. The l10n_jo_edi module is free and installs automatically with the Jordanian localization. What you pay for is the onboarding work: entering your JoFotara credentials, matching the company name to the ISTD registration, setting the taxpayer type, cleaning customer tax IDs and checking the first live invoices one by one. Odoo has no JoFotara test environment: Demo Mode only simulates the reply, so every invoice actually sent is a real submission to ISTD.
How do I turn Odoo's price into a budget in Jordanian dinars?
If Odoo's pricing page shows US dollars, multiply by about 0.709, the dinar's fixed peg. Odoo's fees exclude taxes, so ask your accountant how the 16% general sales tax applies to them. Budget year two at list price, since the first-year discount ends after 12 months, and add Light Users if payroll runs in Odoo. Then add your partner's dinar quote for implementation and support, split into once-off and recurring lines.
